In 2011 Apple and Samsung began a series of court room battles that has since turned into a full scale legal war. Two years may not seem like a long time, but the conflict between these two smart phone giants has gone on for several generations of phones. Consider this, one of the first cases to go to court was over Samsung’s use of 3G technology, today 4G cell phones are the standard. After numerous suits and counter-suits neither company is showing signs of weakness and, with restrictions on design innovations and delayed releases of devices, consumers are the ones who end up losing out.
