Whilst some developers have simply concentrated on condensing their titles in order to play a lesser quality replication on phones and tablets, others have considered developing much more befitting offshoots from their popular series of games.

The knitted leading star of LittleBigPlanet managed to find his way onto the GooglePlay hit list earlier this year with the release of ‘Run Sackboy! Run!’. Fans of the original puzzle platform game will love the fact that the little fellow has finally been redeveloped for smartphone and tablet users in this free-to-play runner. ‘Pirates’ is one of the many spin-off games based on the exciting stealth-based ‘Assassin’s Creed’ franchise. In this adventure available on iOS and Android you take the seas to swashbuckle your way through naval battles throughout the Caribbean. It uses a lot of impressive 3D visuals which help immerse you in the action as you travel your way across a vast map of locations.
TOMB RAIDER I
One of the biggest game franchises of all time is Core Design and Eidos Interactive’s ‘Tomb Raider’ series. It spun off comics, rides, novels and big budget movies.
