Portable speakers are always best if you travel around. These days portable speakers are required because people don’t want to miss their favorite music in parties where they can’t enjoy music. If you are going to beach or picnic you need a potable speaker to connect with your phones or with your MP3 player or your iPod. There are lots of portable speakers available in the market and daily new portable speakers are introduced. Lots of thoughts circles the mind before purchasing a portable speaker. How it works ? how it connects ? whats the size of the device ? how about the sound ?
I personally reviewed some portable speakers in the past, today I am going to share about the little sound cube, Beacon The Phoenix Portable Wireless Speaker. I recently got beacon portable speaker for review.
DESIGN
Beacon portable bluetooth speakers looks like 3 inch little cube.The front side of the speaker has beautiful beacon logo.
The back of the speaker has 3.5 mm line in to connect with your device which don’t have bluetooth support. It also has standard mini USB to charge the portable bluetooth speaker. The  standard Bluetooth branding is also seen at the back.
The sides of the speakers has speaker grills to protect the drivers. The speakers are faced in opposite direction to spread the audio in superior quality.
The top of the speaker has the control buttons. The bottom of the speakers has 4 rubberized circle pad.
FUNCTION
The sound from this 3 inch cube is way better than the other speakers in the same line up. The portable speaker has inbuilt 850 mAh battery. Beacon The Phoenix Portable Wireless Speaker runs for 10 hours if the volume of the speaker is kept at half. In full volume the portable bluetooth speaker lasts up to 4 hours. The top of the speaker has the control buttons. Only 3 buttons available. Each button perform two functions. Power on / Play – Pause, Previous / volume – , Next / volume + . One press invokes play pause, next and previous. Press and hold invokes volume controls and power.
Both wireless and wired connection can be done. Entire speaker is plastic matte finish so finger print resistant, but the control buttons are glassy plastic which is not finger print resistant.
VERDICT
Overall beacon’s little cube is a perfect portable wireless speakers.
Beacon The Phoenix Portable Wireless Speaker is definitely value for the money and available in red, blue and black color. I got got almost 8 hours of usage, it depends on the volume. It just takes close to 2 hours to charge the speaker battery. This also comes with 1000 days warranty Beacon The Phoenix is available for $99 in major online stores.
