Microsoft recently released its major Windows 8 operating system. Windows 8 has lots of new features. Microsoft also added new notifications in windows 8. Personally, I feel some notifications are really annoying.
Here is the simple tutorial to enable / disable notifications in Windows 8
First move your mouse cursor to the bottom right corner of your screen, a settings panel will appear, click on settings. In case of surface or any other windows 8 tablet just slide from right edge of the screen
A new menu will open. Click on Change PC Settings, a new Modern UI control panel will open there you can see the notifications controls.
Here we can turn off or on entire notifications, notifications in lock screen and notifications sounds.
You can also turn on or off individual apps for notifications.
