Apple changed the Post PC era, after the introduction of original iPad by Steve Jobs, we started seeing many company introducing its own tablets, but many failed. Apple recently launched its new 9.7 and 7.9 inch tablet.
The 9.7 inch Apple tablet is named as iPad Air (crazy name). The new iPad Air is lightweight than previous generation model, thinner and size of the iPad is reduced. The new iPad Air is packed with 64 bit A7 processor and comes with M7 co-processor. Apart from the processor most of the iPad Air specifications are similar to the previous generation iPad 4 (2048-by-1536 resolution at 264 pixels per inch, 5 megapixel iSight camera, 1080p recording Wi-Fi, LTE and others). In the new iPad Air, the Wifi technology is different, Apple added mimo technology which means 2 Wi-Fi antennas for better connectivity.
The iPad Mini got a huge upgrade. The iPad mini now comes with retina display, the same display used in previous iPads and iPad Air. iPad Mini is packed with 7.9 inch retina display (2048-by-1536 resolution at 326 pixels per inch ). The new iPad mini is powered by the same A7 64 bit processor and M7 coprocessor and comes with iSight camera, 1080p recording, Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity, same as iPad Air.
Both New iPad mini with retina display and iPad Air has the same display technology and same processor and same other hardware. Both iPad mini and iPad Air has over 450000+ Apps on App store. Developers don’t have to optimize the apps for iPad mini since both the new iPad mini has the same hardware as iPad Air (full sized iPad)
Both iPad Air and iPad mini comes with 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB storage options. Both iPads have WiFi only and cellular models. Base model of iPad Mini Wi-Fi is priced at $399 and Cellular model at $529. The base model of iPad Air Wi-Fi is priced at $499 and Cellular Model at $629. Both are available in space grey and silver.
